The Research Institute for Environment, Energy and Economics (RIEEE) at Appalachian State University is the research arm of the University’s commitment to sustainability. Our mission is to connect, support and amplify research throughout Appalachian State on sustainability topics and wicked problem areas. We achieve this mission by increasing research capacity and impact, fostering collaborative opportunities, building shared research infrastructures, and leading in strategic priority areas of sustainability research.
