Join the Beaver College of Health Sciences as we host a simulation to experience poverty.

At this event, the students will take on the identity and work together with their family to live a month in poverty. The Simulated "community" is a large room in the student union. Family units and neighbors' "homes" are chairs in the center. The services they need like banks, schools and grocery stores are tables that line the perimeter of the room. In addition to the simulation experience, their will be a group discussion reflecting on the student experience as well as Health and Human Service professions ability to make a difference in people's lives.

This event is open to all students and registration is required.
