Each year, the North Carolina Technology Student Association (TSA) hosts regional conferences that bring together student members, industry partners, post-secondary institutions, and community leaders for a competitive showcase highlighting technical skill development and student leadership. The conference features a full slate of competitive events along with a recognition ceremony celebrating student achievement at the regional level.

For more than a decade, the Western Region North Carolina TSA Conference has been proudly hosted by the Career & Technical Education program housed within the Reich College of Education. Registration is required and closed on January 21, 2026.

At this event, affiliated middle and high school TSA chapters in the Western Region of North Carolina,  will showcase their work across approximately 50 competitive events focused on leadership; Technology, Engineering, and Design; STEM; and Computer Science. Highlighted events include Problem Solving, Dragster Design, Flight, Robotics & Drones. Additional events include Photographic Technology, Biotechnology Design, Off the Grid, Board Game Design, Architectural Design, and more.

Individuals interested in serving as a judge are encouraged to complete the judge interest form.
