 ligion are pleased to present “Philosophy and Religious Studies in the C
 ontemporary World\,” a series exploring philosophical questions relevant
  to our daily lives.\n\n \n\nThe first event\, “Mindfulness and Mental H
 ealth” with Dr. Cuong Mai and Dr. Matt Ruble\, will take place on Wednes
 day from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in TCVA 1102.\n\n \n\nDr. Mai specializes in the r
 eligions of Asia\, particularly the history of Chinese and Vietnamese Budd
 hism. Mai's research focuses on the comparative study of conceptions of th
 e afterlife and the history of mortuary rituals around the world. In his t
 alk for this series\, he will speak on the question\, “Is Mindfulness Bu
 ddhist?\n\n \n\nDr. Ruble specializes in medical ethics and the philosophy
  of mental health. Ruble’s research interests include ethics\, neuroethi
 cs\, medical ethics\, philosophy of psychiatry\, and Nietzsche. His talk\,
  titled “Philosophy of Mental Health\,” will examine how philosophy co
 ntributes to our understanding of mental health and mental illness.\n\n \n
