DESCRIPTION:Appalachian State University's AppDocs and Department of Commun
 ication are pleased to host the inaugural Emerging Filmmakers Showcase on 
 Tuesday\, February 24\, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at the Greenbriar Theatre in
  the Plemmons Student Union on App State's Boone campus. Admission is free
  and open to the public.\n\nNine films produced by students and alumni fro
 m the College of Arts and Sciences and College of Fine and Applied Arts 
 — including narrative\, experimental\, animated\, and promotional pieces
  — will be screened. The screenings will be followed by a filmmakers pan
 el moderated by Rosalie McCracken\, Appalachian Heritage Council Chairpers
