Annual Ed.D. Symposium
About this Event
The 17th annual Ed.D. Symposium will be held virtually on Friday, November 7th from 1:00-5:00 pm EST. The symposium theme is "The Work Only You Can Do Now."
Many educators are experiencing our current moment as a whirlwind of tumult. But we know that the project of education is bigger, older, and wiser than any political, social, or cultural season we share. The Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership seeks to prepare scholar-practitioners to work according to enduring principles—in ways that are carefully tuned to present contexts and needs.
If you have never been to our Symposium, be prepared for a combination of academic conference, motivational seminar, and family reunion!
-
You will learn about impactful educational research projects;
-
you will be inspired by the insights of alums and friends of the Program who will share how their work at App has launched them into meaningful careers;
-
you will have the chance to connect with current and former doctoral students, staff, and faculty who share your commitment to educational change.
This event is free to all, and we invite you to participate. In lieu of registration fees, participants are encouraged to donate to the Doctoral Student Enrichment Fund, which helps support students with attending conferences and presenting their work.
